Western Bulk awarded second MLC Certificate
MV Western Stavanger, the Handysize Bulk Carrier technically managed by FML Ship Management, has been awarded with the Maritime Labour Convention voluntary Declaration of Compliances (MLC Certificate).
Western Stavanger is the second vessel in the Western Bulk fleet to be awarded with this certificate. The Convention is still not ratified by the member states, however, Western Bulk is in the forefront to honour the rights of our professional seafarers.
Maritime Labour Convention (MLC), 2006 provides comprehensive rights and protection at work for the world’s more than 1.2 million seafarers. The Convention aims to achieve both decent work for seafarers and secure economic interests in fair competition for quality Shipowners.
