Western Bulk has made a comeback into ship owning with the purchase of the 56,000-dwt M/V Gem of Madras.
It has been renamed M/V Western Oslo, with technical management placed with FML Ship Management (Fleet) in Cyprus.
The vessel is registered with Norwegian International Ship Register (NIS) and her home port is Oslo, Norway.

The acquisition is in line with Western Bulk’s announced strategy to build up a core fleet of 15 to 20 vessels, either owned or on long-term charters with period-/purchase options, in addition to ships on we have on shorter time charters.
