Western Bulk was incorporated in Oslo, Norway in 1982. The CEO and CFO are located in Oslo, which also supports certain administrative functions, but with diminishing “head office” savour. Two out of seven business units, Atlantic and Steel & Bulk, are managed from the Oslo office. Commodities carried through operations managed out of Oslo include mineral products, steel products, grains, iron ore, and coal/coke. Business development (Shipowning and Cargo) is also based in Oslo.
