Shipowning
Western Bulk Shipholding AS (100% owned by Western Bulk AS) is again making investments in Dry Bulk tonnage.
We aim to secure a core fleet of Handysize and Supramax vessels less than 5-6 year old. The preferred Handysize vessels are between 28-37,000 dwt and the preferred Supramax vessels are between 52-60,000 dwt. Our target is to own/control a fleet of 10-15 vessels.
Our preference is to do 3-15 years TC/BB structures with purchase options and to secure vessels on our own or in partnerships with equity investors, banks, shipowners and technical managers.
Shipowning now comprises of the following vessels:
- Western Oslo: IHI Japan; 56,000dwt; Feb 2008 built Supramax
- Western Stavanger: Zhenjiang China; 32,500dwt; Aug 2010 built Handysize
- Western Wilton: Dayang China; 58,000dwt (Crown 58) Newbuilding del. March 2011
- Dayang China – Hull 3069; 58,000dwt (Crown 58) Newbuilding del. October 2011
